Prototype engineering in biomechanics & biomedical engineering for over 50 years (Tokyo, Japan).
We collaborate with researchers in life sciences and medical engineering to create functional prototypes4from artificial hearts and blood-circulation simulators to bio-art installations4bringing innovative concepts to life.
Yasuhisa Koki Bio Mechanics Co., Ltd. is a prototype engineering firm based in Tokyo,Japan. For over five decades, we have supported research and development in themedical and life-science fields, providingintegrated services from concept design andprecision machining to assembly and testing—turning complex ideas into reliable, testablesystems.
One-Stop Prototyping: End-to-end support—design, processing, procurement, assembly, and final adjustment.
No Blueprint? No Problem: We can build from verbal descriptions or sketches and help visualize the concept.
Cross-Disciplinary Network: A 100+ company partner network lets us assemble the optimal team for each project.
Trusted by Researchers: Experience across medical devices, biomechanics, fluid control, and experimental equipment for universities and institutes.
Precision mechanisms for circulatory and organ simulation systems.
High-accuracy components for biological and medical testing.
Design, machining, assembly, and evaluation under one roof.
Fast coordination with specialists in electronics, metalwork, and resin processing.
A prototype cardiac-assist concept that circulates blood using anatural rotary-vortex flow, aiming to minimize blood damage andachieve smooth, quiet operation. Developed through research onscalable structures and manufacturing methods for next-generationdevices. (Not clinically deployed.)
A controllable bench system (developed with Waseda University)that reproduces hemodynamics and pulsatile flow for quantitativeevaluation of artificial hearts, valves, grafts, and catheters.Configurable with vascular-resistance models, pressure/flowsensors, and interchangeable pump models.
We engineered the leak-free circulation loop, loop control, andacrylic case to maintain culture fluid for the bio-art exhibit, ensuringstable operation and reliability.
fluid-dynamics-based fountain that forms an ultra-thin water film(~1 mm) to create a continuous, enclosed "veil." Custom nozzlegeometry (precision lathe-machined) delivers uniform ejection; mistinjection produces a white spherical visual. The structure respondsto internal pressure to expand the veil.
